HISTORY OF CAKES IN KENYA

 

The history of cakes started back in the ancient times. The first cakes were very different from what we eat nowadays. They were bread like and they were sweetened by honey. Due to technology, cakes advanced with time and were brought in many different types, design ms and flavours. They have also helped so many people to get jobs since bakeries were opened and many other industries for cake making. 

Looking at the ancient times, it was more healthy than nowadays, since cakes at that time had no lots of chemicals, and they were so natural. But nowadays, cakes are added with different chemicals even for preservation and storage also.

MAJUU MENTALITY

"Majuu" is a sheng' word mostly used by africans which means abroad. In african's mindset, the term "majuu" symbolises success.Travelling abroad seems to be an endearing idea on the beginning  of their journey to success.In reality, when one member of a family gets a job abroad, the whole community is called upon to celebrate. This african's mindset has distorted the virtue of patriotism. According  to the viewpoints and ideas that I acquired from different  sources, it is a clear implication that this statement is largely supported.
