MAJUU MENTALITY

"Majuu" is a sheng' word mostly used by africans which means abroad.

In african's mindset, the term "majuu" symbolises success.Travelling abroad seems to be an endearing idea on the beginning  of their journey to success.In reality, when one member of a family gets a job abroad, the whole community is called upon to celebrate.

This african's mindset has distorted the virtue of patriotism.

According  to the viewpoints and ideas that I acquired from different  sources, it is a clear implication that this statement is largely supported. Diana ; "Yes it is true that when one travels abroad, he or she gets to interact with different  kind of people and able to get opportunities  that enlighten his or her future."  Erick ; " Opportunities  are everywhere  but in "majuu" are more since they look at your skills mostly and not level of education."

The  "Majuu" mentality has really  detered  Africans from exploring great opportunities  available in their own countries.
